Rolling Stone asked its readers to name the Top 10 Albums of the Nineties.
Going through them, you can’t help but think that the nineties were maybe not the best decade for music. Outside of the Seattle alt-rock breakthroughs (Nirvana, Pearl Jam) and Radiohead, the stuff people remember and love about that decade begs for some furrowed eyebrows–‘What’s the Story Morning Glory?’ Guns N’ Roses? Jeff Buckley?
Of course, all of this totally ignores hip-hop, which I guess doesn’t inspire much internet poll feedback (although–why shouldn’t it?)
